Roads to Gainesville
Atlanta:
Take I-85 north to I-985 north. Take exit 22 off I-985 and turn left onto Hwy. 129. Go through seven traffic lights. Turn right on Washington Street, which will take you onto the campus.

From Chattanooga:
Take I-75 south to exit 125, which is marked hwy. 20, in Cartersville, Ga. Follow hwy. 20 east through Canton and toward Cumming. Before you reach Cumming, turn left onto hwy. 369. Stay on hwy. 369 for about 40 minutes, it will take you into Gainesville. In Gainesville, turn left onto E.E. Butler Road, and then right onto Washington Street, which will take you onto the campus.

From Dahlonga and Ga.400:
Follow Ga. route 60 to Gainesville. When the street forks, go left (E.E. Butler Drive). Shortly after the fork, turn left onto Brenau Avenue. Follow Brenau Avenue to Boulevard and Centennial Circle. Pearce Auditorium is the largest building and has a tall black roof. Visitors please use yellow parking spaces.

From Greenville, S.C.:
Take I-85 south to Georgia (you will stay on I-85 for about an hour). Take the Jefferson, Ga., Hwy. 129 exit (exit 137), and head west on Hwy. 129, which will take you into downtown Gainesville. In Gainesville, turn right onto Washington Street, which will take you onto the campus.
Fly Into Firespark

So your out of town and want to come to Firespark? Great! We're excited to have students from around the world and Atlanta's Hartsfield/Jackson International Airport (ATL) makes this a real possiblity. With direct flights to Hartsfield students can enjoy the convience of air travel coupled with our scenic shuttle to Gainesville, GA students are sure to get a taste of Metro Atlanta. There are just a few things we need to do to prepare before you consider this oprtion:

  1. Before making arrangements to come to Firespark! make sure you contact Alyssa Maddox in the Firespark! office at firespark@brenau.edu or 770-534-6741. 
  2. Make your flight arrangements to fit these time slots:
    1. Arrivals must be on the ground on Sunday July12th between 9am and 12pm
    2. Departures are on Saturday July 25th after 4:00PM
  3. Review and understand the guidelines for air travel of a minor with the airline you are booking the flight with. Melissa will provide you with the name of the person who will meet the student at the gate
  4. In addition to your camp fees we will charge $80 for our round trip airport shuttle. Please note the shuttle service is found at the top of the arrival escalators where all passangers are directed. Here you will check in and proceed to the correct baggage area to retreive your luggage and return to the Firespark gathering area. For depature students are dropped off to checkin and proceed through security to thier gates. Minors are escorted as a group to the appropriate gates. 
  5. * Please note:  Some airlines are now charging a fee for unaccompanied  children under the age of 14.  If your son/daughter is 14 years of age or under please make sure to provide us proof that you have arranged for an airline attendant to accompany him/her to and from the flight  gate to baggage claim and that you have already taken care of the fee.  The firespark! shuttle will meet your child at their flight's baggage claim just as any other student flying, however, we cannot provide monies for the fee.

Transportation to Gainesville is also availabe on both Amtrak and Greyhound Bus Lines with in town stops. If you are using one of these we will pick you up for no extra charge. Before making arrangements to come to Firespark! make sure you contact Alyssa Maddox in the Firespark! office at firespark@brenau.edu or 770-534-6741.
