Visitors/Guests:
- Persons not associated with the camp may visit the campus, however, they are not permitted in residence halls.

- Visitors must abide by the same rules as Firespark! students. If they are disruptive, they will be asked to leave. Campus Security/Gainesville Police will be called, if necessary.
Security:
- Front doors to most residence halls will remain locked and students will be issued an outside door key. Crudup is the location of the housing office and will remain open during the day until curfew.
- Students are instructed to keep their room doors locked
- Students will be issued an identification lanyard where they may keep their keys.
- Campus Security is on duty and consists of law enforcement officers.
Commuter/Day Students:
- Commuter Students may drive to and from campus. Other residential students may not ride with them
- Meals for commuter students are included in the tuition
- Commuter Students are not required to attend evening programs, but are encouraged to do so.
- Commuter Students are not required to participate in the Saturday trips, but are welcome to do so.
Cafeteria/Dinning:
- The dinning hall is open 3 meals/day M-F, Saturday Brunch, Sunday Brunch & Dinner
- There are normally two entrees, vegetables, sandwich bar, salad bar, and desert bar
- Sometimes there is pizza buffet or grill selections
- Vegetarian selections are available at every meal
- Special diet requirements should be communicated directly with the cafeteria manager (make arrangements with Alyssa Maddox first)
- Students are not required to eat every meal, but are encouraged to do so
- Students may bring snacks for their room, however, no cooking is allowed in rooms (most residence halls have a microwave in their kitchen)
- Students may order food delivery or walk to a nearby deli at their own expense
Leaving Campus:
- Parents my check students out at any time through the Crudup Housing Office
- Students are not allowed to drive a car or ride in a vehicle not driven by a Firespark! staff member, their parent, or their legal guardian
- Students may ride in a taxi or walk. There is an Eckerd, CVS, Deli, Food Loin, within walking distance
- Students must sign out in the Crudup lobby before they leave campus and when they return.
- Students are not allowed to leave campus after the evening program
- If a student needs to leave campus with anyone other than their parent, or their legal guardian, we must have a permission form signed by their parent.
The Middle Weekend:
Saturday
- Students are allowed to sleep late. Brunch is served, and then students leave on buses for the trips. Buses return around 11:00pm, and students return to their dorm.
- All students must participate in one of the trips or be checked out by their parents for the day.
- Students will not be allowed to stay on campus
Sunday
- Sunday is non-structured for most students
- Brunch & Dinner will be served in the dinning hall
- The housing director will coordinate transportation for students wishing to attend religious services
- Talent show auditions are on Sunday afternoon
- Dance students will have a rehearsal on Sunday afternoon
- Shuttles will run to the mall and movie theatre
- We normally have pool time available
- The Costume Party is a mandatory program starting at 8:30
Medications:
- A list of medications being taken by the student should be listed on the application and will be given to the students house parent
- Students are expected to be responsible for administering their own medications due to new drug regulations certain medications may be regulated by the Firespark! Nurse. Contact with the housing director will be made for special needs.
- A refrigerator will be in the Crudup housing office for medications that must be kept cold.
Medical Needs/Emergencies:
- If a student is ill, s/he should report the illness to his/her house parent. If the houseparent is not available, they should contact the housing office
- First Aid and minor medications (headache/ upset stomach, etc.) will be given by the nurse.
- Students needing further medical attention will be taken to the urgent care center next to campus. Student’s parents will be responsible for all charges incurred.
- Efforts will be made to contact the parent prior to medical treatment
- If a student must leave camp for any reason (medical or otherwise) no refunds will be given.
E-mail/Internet:
- There will be stations in the Crudup lobby, tea room, and Virginia Hall for limited student use to check e-mail
- Students will be given a camp username and pass code to be used during the two weeks
- Computer labs will only be used for certain classes
- Instant messaging clients will not be installed and filters are placed on all usable computers
- Students are allowed to bring their laptops but no internet access is allowed on campus
